google small Google : does maths!

Did you know you can use http://www.google.com as a calculator?

Pop over to google, type 42000 + 123

Press Enter [or whichever key you normally press on the browsing software to find a website] – and voila!

You’ve got a total of 42,123!!

But … beware!

If you type: 42000 + 123 / 2

where you want the amount to be divided by [using the "/" symbol] 2, you won’t get what you expect.

To make sure you are dividing the whole lot by 2, type it this way:

(42000 + 123) / 2

The curved brackets ‘hold’ the first part of the equation together.

Cool, isn’t it? and fast! without finding your calculator …
