In this very quick video, Matt Cutts answers this question by saying that the more text content you have on your home page, the more food there is for the Google search robots. This doesn’t mean a home page which is 15 screenfulls long, be sensible with it. He does say that on his own blog he always shows 5-10 blog posts, so there’s plenty for the robots to read icon smile How much content should be on a homepage?
